What’s Happening at Personal Best this September?

by | Sep 3, 2019

We recently purchased a piece of software called “Medical Objects” which works side by side with our front desk software that takes care of your appointments and consultation notes.  Medical Objects allows us to send or receive letters and reports to and from your doctor electronically through an encrypted email system. Many medical practices use this software and by getting “on board” we can communicate with your doctor much quicker.

Rob and Nathan both completed the three day intensive McKenzie Part B course in August.  Some of you may have heard of “McKenzie exercises” in relation to Low Back Pain, and the same principles and treatment methods work very well in the Neck and Thoracic Region (middle part of the back).  The McKenzie Method is systematic and logical and works well in treating a range of neck and back pain problems.  With Natasha having completed both Part A and Part B previously, this means that ALL physio’s at Personal Best are qualified to use this system of treatment to help you!

Rob is back! After a holiday that was, in Rob’s words “the hardest thing he has ever done” Rob is back on deck helping his patients move and feel better. Rob works Monday and Thursday and is available to see patients from 9am through to 6pm on both days.  If you have a niggle that you would like Rob to sort out, or if you had a break from treatment whilst he was away and need a follow-up session, give Mary a call on 6056 6616 and we will find a time that suits for you to catch up with Rob.

If you read our hard copy newsletter (it arrives in the post if you are a patient of our practice) you will have noticed that we have a green thumb in our team in the form of Natasha Russell. Tash is helping us become more “green” at work by starting a worm farm just outside the back door, filling the clinic with plants and gently nudging Nathan about a plan for the “South Garden.” We really appreciate Tash’s efforts and even Nathan admits his room feels better with a plant in the corner. We’ll keep you posted on further developments for the South Garden!
