From Mary: What’s Happening at Personal Best this October?

by | Oct 2, 2022

We have now been at 10 Nilmar Avenue for 3 months (where did that time go??) and have settled in well.  All the internal renovations are complete and Nathan’s landscaping is looking great with the welcome of Spring!  When you visit our clinic you have 2 options for parking – if you prefer to park on the street you can enter through the front door or we have parking at the rear of the building and enter through the back door.  Our disabled car spot and access is at the rear.

Tim Buchanan Tim has been working hard on our Over 60’s Strength Class and our first 6 week term will commence the week starting 10th October.  The classes will run on a Tuesday and Thursday morning have a maximum of 6 participants.   A lot of excitement has been building around these classes and they filled within a week of dates being released!  If you are interested in participating in these classes call me on 60566616 to register your interest for the next term.

Natasha, our wonderful physio, has returned from her extended holiday.  She is currently training to be a Women’s Health physiotherapist and has a special interest in helping pregnant and post-natal mums with back and pelvic pain and getting moving again.  If you haven’t met Natasha click here to see her profile or click here to read one of her blog articles.

Nathan has been seeking (and receiving) feedback from participants of our workshops.  As a result we have tweaked the format of our workshops to  be a little shorter (1.5 hours instead of 2), taken out some information and added exactly what happens in physiotherapy to our workshop format.  If you would like more information about our workshops click here.

We are thrilled to announce that Rachelle has recently gained her qualification in Oncology Massage.

Oncology massage is a soft tissue manipulation that uses light touch and gentle movement. Using the whole hand while applying slow and light touch to the limbs, the massage therapist follows the flow of the lymphatic system which encourages fluid transport and the removal of waste products from the tissues.  Due to these gentle techniques, oncology massage is safe to perform on anyone with a cancer diagnosis even during cancer treatment.   It can be performed as part of palliative care or for people recovering from their cancer treatment.  To make a booking with Rachelle call me on 6056 6616 and I can help you find a day and time that works best for you.
