Who is the Workshop For?

The Beyond Birth Workshop is for pregnant women who are interested in equipping themselves with the knowledge and tools necessary for caring for their body after being pregnant and giving birth.

 

Come along to the Workshop and learn:

  • How to get back to normal after birth
  • How to contract the different layers of your Pelvic Floor
  • The importance of Pelvic Floor recovery
  • What does it mean to restore your core
  • How to prevent aches & pains with a new baby
  • A rough timeline for returning to exercise
  • When to resume intimacy with your partner
  • How to know if you need help, and who to see.

 

Your Presenter:

Natasha Russell

Natasha is our Women’s Health Physio.

She has completed extensive training in pregnancy and postpartum pain conditions around the pelvis and back, and is now studying for her formal APA Titling qualifications in Continence and Women’s Health.

She treats:

  • Bowel and bladder incontinence,
  • Bladder urgency,
  • Pelvic organ prolapse,
  • Persistent pelvic pain (including endometriosis, Interstitial cystitis, vaginismus, vulvodynia),
  • Pregnancy related back pain
  • Postnatal pelvic floor and abdominal muscle rehabilitation,
  • Musculoskeletal pain (wrist, back and neck pain).
